The Moon in Scorpio: Chaotic, Heart-breaking, Unrelenting Love

The Moon in Scorpio: Chaotic, Heart-breaking, Unrelenting Love

To gain admission into the Lunar Scorpio Club…. … one must be born with the boldness to throw caution to the wind and hurtle heart first into epic, desperate and exhilarating love affairs, mating with scoundrels or sirens the world tells you not to and pledging to love not only through the romantic moments but also the hectic drama that inevitably comes with a Moon in Scorpio. Casual  love doesn’t exist in this club. Neither does calm love for that matter. These people love deep. They fall hard. They do not listen to caveats. Why so intense? The Moon is the most primal expression of Scorpio energy. People with this aspect cannot control and direct the Scorpio passions as a Scorpio sun can. Moon in Scorpio people operate on reflex and instincts — not mental calculation. They feel stimuli, then their Scorpio forces react automatically. Don’t expect them to wear emotion on their sleeves where you can spy it externally — because the Moon is also the most private...

Saturn in Scorpio is Coming! SEX IS ABOUT TO GET REAL….

Saturn in Scorpio is Coming! SEX IS ABOUT TO GET REAL….

If you’ve been romping through your sex life without boundaries and seriousness, expect your gonads to be sacrificed to Almighty Saturn when it transitions into Scorpio — such as from October 5, 2012 through September 18, 2015. Saturn is the disciplinarian of the Zodiac, and, in the case of society’s bedrooms,  it will become the sex monitor over the next few years, reinforcing commitment, responsibility and, yes, even old, stodgy tradition until late 2015. Get ready for the sexually avant garde to be spanked and cuffed. Often represented by the Grim Reaper, Saturn is mythic bringer of death, both literally and figuratively. Over the next three years of planet Saturn’s sojourn in the sign of Scorpio, expect: death to orgies. death to “Friends With Benefits.” death to the ease and accessibility of the “booty call.” death to one night stands. death to the “joy” of extramarital affairs. death to empty weekend Flings. death to using  and exploiting people  JUST for sex. death to the glorification of meaningless sex in...

Keep Attracting Scorpios? These Natal Chart Aspects Might be Why.

Keep Attracting Scorpios? These Natal Chart Aspects Might be Why.

While anyone can experiment in romance with Scorpio, there are certain people who draw Scorpios into their lives repeatedly.  Either they purposely seek out Scorpios or find that Scorpios are always pursuing them. There are roughly 8 factors in the natal chart that make this tendency possible. 8 Reasons why Someone  might Attract or Lust after Scorpios Most of what one attracts astrologically comes through the Venus.  There are three Venus scenarios that spark a desire for Scorpio.  1. Venus in Scorpio People born with their Venus in the sign of Scorpio are classically in sync with Scorpio’s need for an intense, all-consuming romance.  These natives — often Sagittarius people or Libra people —   are able to sense when a Scorpio is in their midst and harmonize with them rather easily. When a Scorpio Venus person meets a Scorpio, the Venus person is instantly smitten. 2. Venus in the 8th house A person with a Venus located in the 8th house of the Zodiac might find, if they...

The Scorpio Moon Chemistry of Beyonce & Lady Gaga

The Scorpio Moon Chemistry of Beyonce & Lady Gaga

(Originally written in 2009 )   The camraderie and chemistry between the taboo-taunting Lady Gaga and the formerly pristine Beyonce, who once pitched herself as just a sweet, wholesome Jesus-loving Southern girl, comes as no surprise since they share Scorpio Lunar energy. But make no mistake about it, the repeat alliance between the two has revised Beyonce’s brand and image forever. Even before Lady Gaga reached pop stardom, Beyonce, whose Moon is at 4 degrees Scorpio, seemed to be aware of the budding artist and gravitated toward her in spirit. Beyonce came out with a custom metal gloves, blind-folds, and robotic attire, mimicking some of the risque costumes that the up-and-coming Gaga was wearing across the Atlantic. These props stood out because did not match Beyonce’s songs and seemed out of place. Many people accused Beyonce of simply lifting the schtick from Gaga for attention– as well known artists often do to novices on the upward climb. Beyonce had been known for bubble gum dance grooves, but suddenly she...

Scorpio Riser Edgar Allan Poe marks 200th Birthday (Pluto magnified in Pisces Stellium)

Scorpio Riser Edgar Allan Poe marks 200th Birthday (Pluto magnified in Pisces Stellium)

(Originally written January 2009) As a child, I loved Edgar Allan Poe as a kindred. His dark, intensely emotional and eerie stories made him seemed distinctly Scorpionic. While not a Scorpio Sun, Poe has his Ascendant in the 3rd degree of Scorpio, giving him Scorpio reflexes and attitudes in his worldly interactions. With Scorpio on his first house, the house of self-expression, the melancholic, the intense, the taboo, the macabre, and paranormal are all on display in his biography, his short stories and poetry, and even his incestuously taboo marriage to his 13-year-old cousin. This Ascendant placement also saw him self-destroying and resurrecting his career and livelihood in various incarnations time and time again. From “The Raven” and “The Cask of Amontillado” to “The Masque of Red Death” and “The Telltale Heart,” Scorpio energy throughout his chart allowed Poe to tap into deep human fears and pour dark psychology all over his published pages. Way more than Stephen King, I think Poe was able to rattle to the bone...

A Quick Salute to the Scorpio Stare (Via the Ascendant)

A Quick Salute to the Scorpio Stare (Via the Ascendant)

Rock star Prince was recently photographed at an indoor basketball game with dark sunglasses on. When someone asked me why he would exhibit such a bizarre habit, I immediately told them that he had a Scorpio Rising and that his eyes were so expressive and intense that onlookers could be put in a trance without protection. And it’s true his eyes are so emotive — perhaps THE MOST emotive I’ve ever seen because he has both a Scorpio Ascendant and Pluto conjunct the Midheaven (which governs how he expresses himself in his career. Man is that Scorpio energy obvious!). Both of these axes are types of outer expressions. He is doubly outed as an intense, emotional, sexual, mystical Plutonic character. To have Scorpio energy on outward display is scary, since it is such a private sign. Luckily I have a Capricorn Ascendant to keep my Scorpio energy on the downlow. But Scorpio Risings have no such protection. They are totally exposed and the eyes reveal everything. Is this why...

Lunar Scorpio Beyonce tackles Plutolicious depression, drugs, and self-destruction in new movie chronicling Etta James

Lunar Scorpio Beyonce tackles Plutolicious depression, drugs, and self-destruction in new movie chronicling Etta James

(Originally Published November 2008)  Beyonce Knowles, who must buffer her Scorpio Moon with a diet of Prozac and syrup, tries to tackle the painfully passionate Plutonic character of Etta James in December’s release of “Cadillac Reocrds,” a movie partially chronicling the raspy- throated Aqua who seemed tortured by her Pluto-Sun, Pluto-Venus, and Pluto-Jupiter oppositions. A huge Adrien Brody fan, I am apprehensive about Cadillac Records. I confess I’m a bit tired of biopics and, once an enthusiastic Beyonce admirer, I’m a bit disappointed in her lack of musical evolution, continuing to gyrate to empty lyrics rather than muster some real substance that would befit her as a lunar Scorp and an artist. I doubt she can pull off the cinematic mirror of an emotionally volatile and wounded alleycat like Etta James. I love Etta. And when I’m in one of my Scorpio spirals downward, I lock myself away with dim lights, rum, and ultra melancholic playlists including songs like “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta, and of course the...
