Scorpios like psychic bonds with their mates.

Scorpios like psychic bonds with their mates.

A sign linked to the house of psychic energy and the occult, Scorpio loves when communion with a mate has a bit of magic and sixth sense power! Scorpio women and Scorpio men enjoy the romance and intimacy of synchronous thought and behavior, relishing such things as: Blurting out something at the same time as their lover! Suddenly singing the same song on the same verse without trying. Sharing a look and just knowing what the other is thinking — as if you’re sending thoughts telepathically or mind-reading. Finishing each other’s sentences. Arriving at the same conclusion at the same time Communicating in special code language — that develops without effort. (or better yet communicating with no words at all.) Such things suggest an otherworldly harmony. Scorpios, like all water signs, value being in sync with a partner — so much so that they understand the mate’s motivations and predilections. Gifted with intense perception, Scorpios often develop the habit of tuning into people as if they possess antennae.  Let’s...

Sexy Scorpionic Stare Detailed in Song of the Day: “Bette Davis Eyes”

Sexy Scorpionic Stare Detailed in Song of the Day: “Bette Davis Eyes”

One of the most iconic pair of eyes to ever grace Hollywood belonged to a woman with Scorpio Rising. Her eyes were dramatic, full of overwhelming sentiment, challenging, intimidating and yet vulnerable. She was Bette Davis … an actress known for her feistiness and sensuality (Like most Scorpio Ascendants). Davis’ Scorpio traits were compounded by having her Moon and Pluto in the 8th house, conjunct! Both Scorpios and Scorpio Rising people are known for their expressive portals to the soul. They are known for their stares and come-hither looks. Yes, it likely twas Scorpio energy that gave birth to the term “bedroom eyes.” If a Scorpio man or Scorpio woman likes you and launches a hunt, that pursuit will almost always include eye seduction … with prolonged glances so magnetic they could put you into a hypnotic trance. Singer-songwriter Kim Carnes, a Cancer sun, crafted a song about that very scenario in 1981 to pay tribute to those Scorpionic eyes.   Wow. Kim Carnes really captures what it feels...

Why Scorpios Love Arguments & Confrontation in Relationships

Why Scorpios Love Arguments & Confrontation in Relationships

Private though we are, Scorpios love invasion, confrontation and conflict — especially when they are the ones igniting it. Australian Astrologer Milton Black once said that if things are going easy and there’s no conflict, Scorpios will either consciously or subconsciously create it to feel COMFORTABLE.   Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, the planet of power, as well as by Mars, which is a warrior planet that bestows pugilist energy. Scorpios, therefore, are very Mars -aware, particularly if Mars is in a first house or otherwise accented strongly in the natal chart. This co-ruling planet gives Scorpios serious aggression. They can either project it outwards or keep it inward and self-destruct. Some Scorpios are known for self-destruction, but outer release of the aggression is the favored way to go. Scorpios are compelled on an almost spiritual level toward power clashing, sexy tension, and fun flirty wars. They will enjoy provoking and riling people. This will be considered fun even if it seems wicked. If someone has the passion and...

5 Ways to Get De-Friended by a Scorpio

5 Ways to Get De-Friended by a Scorpio

You may have heard of Xtreme Sports where participants practice daredevil feats with little protection, great courage and great pain. You have? Fabulous. Now you know what it’s like to ride or die with a Scorpio. Let’s call it Xtreme bonding. There are NO casual relationships to Scorpios. Palling around with a Scorpio is like a boxer taking off his gloves and going bare fisted in a cage with a mixed martial artist. It is raw. It is intense. It can be ugly. There will be combats. You will bleed. But you will also love the rush of adrenaline. (Or at least they will.) Scorpio is associated with the 8th house of the Other, which is all about intimacy and intense relating. They are devoted to finding meaningful connections whether completely platonic, romantic or in between. Not everyone gets to be a friend of a Scorpio because they are extremely distrustful. They observe a world filled with superficiality and materialism and are doubtful (and scared) that few will share...

Scorpios & Forbidden Love Affairs

Scorpios & Forbidden Love Affairs

“If a Scorpio feels destined to sync with someone, nothing will stop it, certainly not some arbitrary man-made morality.” Julia Roberts. Vivian Leigh. Dorothy Dandridge. As much as these Scorpio starlets are known for their Hollywood glamour they are also known for their Scorpio love affairs with married men. With Scorpio & its ruler Pluto being associated with the 8th house — the house of other people’s property — I think it’s safe to say that O.P.P., made famous in the ’90s rap song, is a zodiac hazard. OK, Thrill. Destiny? Well, maybe just a zodiac situation Scorpios (and other 8th house types) might consciously or unconsciously find themselves in whether by personal design or happenstance. The 8th house, with its obsession for sex and psychology and the dark edges of life also involves the experience of benefiting or receiving fortune through things belonging to others. Mostly this is discussed in terms of money and inheritance, but let’s be real here, it can involve a wide range of other...

Top 5 Reasons why Your Scorpio’s Intensity is Adorable (and not at all scary):

Top 5 Reasons why Your Scorpio’s Intensity is Adorable (and not at all scary):

5. Their investigative skills online and in real life will find the dark details of your past & psyche before the FBI closes in.[smartads] 4. They will conceal, defend, and protect you from said FBI or anyone else threatening to cause you harm (except for them, of course). 3. When everyone else has turned their backs on you, stopped laughing at your jokes & believing in you, the Scorpio will be there to revive you and transmit to you the Breath and Passion of Life. 2. When you fear you’ve lost yourself, their eyes — like missiles — will lock on you, tunnel deep into your soul and tell you who you are and who you have the potential to be (especially under their tutelage). 1. When you think sex is just in & out and simply a path to orgasm, Scorpio will suck you into a heady, mind-tripping merger of flesh, screams, scratches, and mystical reverie that will surpass drugs and make you believe in a Deity– not...

A look at the Scorpio Power Drive

A look at the Scorpio Power Drive

To say Scorpios love wielding power is an understatement. They partake of it instinctively as a delicate craft that, when done properly, can release endorphins escalating any exchange to euphoria. Their goal is not necessarily to kill an enemy, but to unearth a friend, a comrade whose power they can respect and adore. Punish and wound a lover? So, it would seem. But, it’s more like trying them over fire to reveal a level of durability and/or purity the lover didn’t know he or she had. To say power playing Scorpio-style is ostensibly about seeking to control or manipulate someone is easy, too easy and misses the mark. I know Scorpios like Charles Manson or Ike Turner misused their power drives and may have lent credence to that view. But Manson had Saturn square his Scorpio Sun which greatly restricted his Scorpio power, driving him to overcompensate with the weakness that is manipulation. And Turner, as wonderful as his powers were in music, perhaps thanks to his Sun conjunct...
