Scorpio and Capricorn: Love, Incorporated.

Scorpio and Capricorn: Love, Incorporated.

The Capricorn Scorpio love match is a good one if Scorpio can handle being a little bored.  Both signs are incredibly dedicated and mate for the long haul. These two signs are also both sensual and enjoy exploring the intimate arts. There is definite chemistry, but Scorpio might find Capricorn a bit too stifling to be the ultimate Scorpio love match. As far as Capricorn is concerned, Scorpio is a little too emotionally volatile and unhinged.

The Good

One word for Capricorn? Capable. Caps are smart, efficient, and understand how to leverage hard work to achieve success. Together with Scorpio, known for brilliance and tenacity, these two make the ultimate power couple.   Both signs boast a “never say die” attitude. Together, these two can achieve any reality, whether it’s building a corporate empire or raising an amazing family. Capricorn will be able to stabilize Scorpio and enable the stinger to make the most of their smarts and skills.

Capricorns offer realistic perspective to Scorpio, a sign that tends to overdramatize everything.  Scorpio and Capricorn will be able to create a solid relationship based on real love and real commitment.   When Capricorn is in a sad mood and puts up a wall to conceal feelings, Scorpio, a similarly melancholy sign, will intuitively understand Capricorn’s dark emotions and try to break down the wall.

Scorpio will receive the devotion they’ve always craved from Capricorn.

The Bad

Since Scorpio and Capricorn are both prone to depression, this relationship may be too emotionally dismal.  Capricorn likes tradition while Scorpio revels in toppling traditions; they will offend one another. Yes, Capricorn can rebel against tradition — whether through sexuality, addiction, or other wild living — but they eventually settle down and repent in the end. Scorpio?  Not so much.  Scorpios hate regrets and embrace all their misdeeds and dark pasts as part of a necessary and redemptive journey.

The greatest problem with this Capricorn – Scorpio romance is that Capricorn is the quintessential boss. But wait –  Scorpio needs to be the boss. These two will butt heads a lot. In the beginning, this rivalry and one upsmanship may provide sexy tension, but over time it will engender bitterness and fights.

Scorpio likes intensity, a word that doesn’t fit Capricorn at all. Capricorn’s love for Scorpio will prove reliable, but ultimately not exciting enough. This could cause Scorpio to stray. A sign given to patterns and long-term habits, Capricorn likes to keep life steady, while Scorpio prefers frequent upheavals because they find energy and growth in change.

While Capricorn has many feelings, Scorpio may tire of trying to probe and figure them out. They each can be oppressive and controlling.

The Boudoir

Capricorn and Scorpio will battle for dominance in the bedroom, creating an exciting exchange of physical intimacy. Being an earth sign, Capricorns love the pleasures of the body and finds Scorpio quite capable of delivering those pleasures with flair and forceful compulsion.

Long-term Outlook

This could be a very fruitful and fulfilling partnership, if Scorpio can focus on long-term gain and not short-term stimuli.

If both embrace compromise and share control, these two power players can make this Scorpio love match work. There can be marriage, children, and even family businesses. Capricorn can especially be a good Scorpio match in the later years of Scorpio when Scorpio has finished with other, more titillating flings and wants to find mature Scorpio love compatibility. If this match works, it’s fine. If it doesn’t, both have a penchant for becoming incredibly mean, cold and ruthless when love starts to turn sour.

In Real Life:

My favorite high school boyfriend was a Capricorn.  When he was courting me, he took me the library. True story. There was a Libra I was seeing and Capricorn made the play for me, saying “That other guy is going to want you to move too fast. I will respect you.” I was really impressed by that. He was so serious. And true to his word, Caps move SLOWLY in relationships and sexuality. I chose him because he was mature and simply good. I knew I’d be in good hands, and I was. He actually never hurt me but we just didn’t share the same values and I was almost bored into a coma after three years. So, I had to break it off. When I became an adult, I thought about him a lot and realized what good husband material he would have been. He did marry and yes he did become a great husband to a person I know.  I’ve met other Capricorns  and have been attracted to them. I think they are stellar people and lifelines. If they love you, they will never let you down. If they don’t, they an be mean bastards!
